The iParent Now, Inc. team is here to help parents and churches raise spiritual strong children, promote healthy parenting for Christian parents and to assist church leaders who want to grow their family ministry programs.
ParentNow.com is a 501(c)3 nonprofit founded to be a source of accurate information, Biblical inspiration and real-life insight for parents.
MISSION: The mission of iParentNow is to inspire parents and church communities to build strong families who raise spiritually healthy children by providing information from experts, inspiration from the Bible and insight from other parents.
The organization’s goal is to build a forum for Christian parents to share their experiences with each other, ideas on what worked and didn’t work when raising children in America and to join together to inspire a new generation of American parents to live Godly lives, model healthy Christian living, form healthy families and raise their children in the context of the church community.
Lon W. Flippo is the President and Founder of the Christian parenting organization. Lon completed his Doctor of Ministry at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Springfield, Missouri. He also earned a M.A. degree in Communications from Missouri State University. The inspiration for the iParentNow project was drawn from his own parenting experiences and walking with parents through the tough times that often arise when the children become teenagers and young adults.
Lon is an ordained minister with extensive experience working with families, young couples and parents — as well as children — in the context of the local church. He is a father of two children who has served families in churches for 25 years as a senior, family life, children’s and youth pastor. He and his wife reside in the Twin Cities metro area (Minnesota). Lon currently teaches at North Central University, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Formerly, he served as senior pastor of Maranatha Worship Center, Wichita, Kansas; Family Life Pastor at Family Community Church, San Jose, California; Family Life and Children’s Pastor at Northview Christian Life, Carmel, Indiana; senior pastor in Beech Grove, Indiana, and as the National Children’s Ministry Director of the Assemblies of God.
Lon’s wife, Chris, is a blog contributor. Chris earned an M.A. in sociology from the College of William and Mary.
Lon and Chris live in Minnesota. He currently works as a professor at North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
